Designed to emphasize compelling, on-camera behavior. Actors explore innovative character choices while making sure performances are real, connected and truthful. During the course of the course, four scenes will be developed and shot single camera style. The many topics covered include: Using the Camera Lens, Frame Size and Camera Angles, Making and Implementing Choices, Risking, Emotional Homework, Emotional Prep, Beats and Units, Transitions, Relishing the Moment, Enjoying the Phrase, Physical and Vocal Life, Auditions, et al. Special emphasis on eliminating unhelpful, individual habits (e.g. blinking, inappropriate volume for shot size) and promoting positive qualities. Scenes will be recorded and reviewed.

$480 total
(or three installments of $160).

All courses progress in a logical and consecutive sequence. Furthermore, students are frequently turned away once the maximum number of participants has been reached. For these reasons, students who begin the session agree to commit to the entire summer session and are, therefore, financially responsible for that session.
